The Conservatives are not being truthful to residents about the reality of the Hillingdon Hospital rebuild, said Hillingdon Labour Leader Cllr Peter Curling.
Speaking in response to the Evening Standard story about the delay of the Hillingdon Hospital rebuild, Cllr Curling has said:
“Hillingdon residents have been promised for years about a new hospital building. We all know it’s falling down, we all know it is beyond little fixes, and now the chances of a new building are uncertain again due to funding pressures.
“The reality is that the Conservatives will find billions for the projects that they want to see happen such as HS2, but it is ordinary people in our community that are being let down over constant delays to the planned new hospital.
“I wouldn’t hold my breath about seeing that new hospital any time soon. It’s just being used as election fodder. Residents deserve better than these delays and lies.”
